Job summary

Bitonet Ltd. is building a new AI-powered software product with strong international growth potential.

You will join a small core team and influence architecture, technology decisions, and development processes, shaping the product from concept to production and international markets. This is a Founding Engineer-style role without the entrepreneurship risk, offering ownership of critical backend and AI features, collaboration with product and UX teams, and the opportunity to deploy scalable

Qualifications

• You have delivered production software and solved technically demanding problems.
• Experience with several of the listed technologies (Python, AI/ML, REST APIs, React/Next.js, SQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Codex, Git) is highly valued.
• Excellent English communication skills are required; Finnish is a plus.

Bitonet Ltd. is building a new AI-powered software product with strong international growth potential.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help us build the product.

This is not a role where you'll simply implement predefined tickets or maintain a legacy codebase. You'll have the opportunity to influence the architecture, technology choices, development processes, and ultimately shape the entire product.

What will you be building?

You'll help take a new AI product from concept to production and ultimately to international markets.

Your work will involve areas such as:

• Applied AI and machine learning
• Backend services and APIs
• Databases and data modeling
• Cloud infrastructure and Linux environments
• Security, performance, and scalability

What will you do?

Your work will be varied, independent, and technically challenging. Typical responsibilities include:

• Designing software architecture and developing new features
• Designing and implementing AI functionality
• Building backend services, APIs, and databases
• Designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure
• Improving system performance, security, and scalability
• Evaluating and adopting new technologies
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product development, and UX design

What are we looking for?

You have experience delivering production software and enjoy solving technically demanding problems.

You have experience with several of the following:

• Python
• AI and machine learning solutions
• REST APIs
• React, Next.js, or similar frontend technologies
• SQL and PostgreSQL
• Docker
• Codex
• Git and CI/CD

Experience with any of the following is considered an advantage:

• PyTorch
• TensorFlow
• OpenCV
• MLOps
• Computer Vision solutions
• Building scalable SaaS applications
• Data engineering toolsDeploying AI solutions into production business environments

We particularly value hands‑on experience integrating AI solutions into production software used by real customers.

Excellent English communication skills are required. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
