Job summary

Alma Media is seeking a hands-on AI Platform Engineer to build a lean AI platform across cloud environments and deliver LLMOps capabilities for reliable, observable AI applications and agents.

You will run governance, security and privacy controls, provide scalable delivery pipelines, and operate tooling to support production-grade AI services. The role is hybrid with flexible work options in Helsinki, Tampere, or Prague.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud, platform, backend, DevOps, SRE or security engineering.
• Deploy production services with APIs, containers or serverless tech and CI/CD.
• Practical experience with foundation-model APIs and production AI/agent/RAG solutions.
• Knowledge of identity, secrets, networking, monitoring and secure API integration.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, tracing, configuration versioning and nondeterministic systems.
• Ability to balance delivery speed, cost and risk with guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate shared AI platform capabilities for AI applications and agents.
• Administer major AI environments, including access, workspaces, configurations, agents and tools.
• Provide controlled model access, reusable agent and retrieval components, identity-aware controls and human approvals.
• Establish repeatable delivery, automated evaluation, tracing and observability for model calls, retrieval and tool execution.
• Manage model availability, quotas, usage visibility and cost across vendors.
• Support production readiness, incident response and agent lifecycle management.
