Job summary

Aurora Live is seeking a Lead Software Architect to own the big picture of our software architecture in Finland and guide the next generation of AI-native solutions. You will design data models, APIs, and integration patterns while staying hands-on, prototyping, and reviewing code with the development team.

In this role you’ll lead architectural evolution across applications, data flows and external services, coach engineers, and drive scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing complex software systems.
• Ability to prototype and review implementations hands-on.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition to AI-native software development with AI coding agents and modern tools.
• Make architecture AI-readable with clear data models, APIs, and system boundaries.
• Define and evolve architecture across applications, integrations, data and APIs.
• Stay hands-on through prototyping, code reviews, and problem solving.
• Challenge unnecessary custom development and choose optimal build, buy, or integration solutions.
• Improve scalability, security, maintainability and technical quality.
• Reduce technical debt while keeping business moving.
• Coach developers and raise the technical bar across the team.
