Job summary

Basware is seeking a Portfolio Architect to shape the architectural vision of its product portfolio, focusing on AI and machine learning integration. This is an essential role in driving product strategy and engineering delivery, ensuring coherent and scalable solutions.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with technology leadership, product, and engineering teams. Ideal applicants will have proven experience as an architect in a SaaS environment, particularly with AI/ML engineering. This role offers remote-first flexibility and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution, Portfolio or Principal Architect at a $300M+ ARR SaaS company.
• Hands-on expertise in AI/ML engineering, specifically in LLMs, agentic systems, and ML pipelines.
• Demonstrable understanding of AI governance principles, including EU AI Act awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the portfolio-level technical architecture for Basware’s product suite.
• Lead architectural decisions for AI capabilities and build internal knowledge bases.
• Own the MLOps architecture and establish AI governance frameworks across teams.
