Job summary

Nortal in Finland is seeking an AI-Driven Architect to design target architectures, guide modernization, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions. You may spend part of your week on-site with customer stakeholders.

You will apply AI-driven development practices, reverse engineer legacy systems, and contribute to pre-sales and thought leadership. The role offers hybrid work and opportunities to grow across Nortal's AI offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing enterprise-level applications and integrations.

Overview

Are you a skilled Architect eager to shape the future of enterprise software with AI-driven ways of working? Do you enjoy working closely with customers, understanding complex business environments, and helping organizations modernize critical systems?

We're actively looking for an AI-Driven Architect to join our growing community of talented architects. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design target architectures, guide modernization initiatives, and turn business needs into practical technology solutions. Depending on the engagement, you may spend part of your week collaborating directly with customer stakeholders on-site.

Alongside modern AI-driven development practices such as Spec-Driven Development and Agentic Engineering, you'll also apply AI in a different way: helping customers understand, reverse-engineer, and modernize existing systems. From uncovering undocumented business logic to creating modernization roadmaps for complex enterprise environments, you'll be at the forefront of a new generation of enterprise architecture work.

What you'll do

• Partner closely with customers to understand business goals, technology landscapes, and modernization opportunities
• Design enterprise-grade solutions, integrations, and target architectures that support long-term business transformation
• Apply AI-driven approaches such as Spec-Driven Development, Agentic Swarm Coding and Agentic Context Engineering to accelerate software delivery and produce enterprise-grade AI solutions
• Use AI-assisted reverse engineering and software archaeology techniques to analyze legacy systems, uncover business logic, and support modernization initiatives
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, architects, developers, and customer teams
• Lead the development team by example
• Contribute to pre-sales activities, mentoring, and thought leadership based on your interests

What makes you a great fit

• Experience in developing enterprise-level applications, APIs, and integrations using cloud-native technologies
• Ability to understand customers' business and technology landscapes and translate business needs into practical architectural solutions
• Understanding of enterprise architecture principles, integrations, and modernization of complex application landscapes
• Good general understanding on how to get the best results with AI, using best practices for AI-driven SDLC/PDLC processes.
• Prior experience of both designing software architectures and engaging in hands-on programming
• Experience from public cloud platforms, preferably Azure
• Effective communication skills in both English and Finnish
