The Data & Performance (D&P) organization drives the Company’s agenda to deliver Trust Data @ Scale. As part of this, it also owns the company’s data security strategy and initiatives to ensure proper data guardrails are in place. Aligned with our Code of Conduct, the Trust Charter, and the regulatory landscape, we are seeking an experienced Data Security Lead with an innovative, agile, and pragmatic mindset to secure data flows, architecture, bolster regulatory compliance, and future-proof our Data Strategy against existing and emerging threats.
Responsibilities
- Lead Data Risk management activities, focusing on Data security and protection, including policy rollout, controls, standards, and performance measurement.
- Manage key Data Risk & Security initiatives such as Data Classification Operationalisation, Secure Data Sharing, Data Discovery, and Data Loss Prevention.
- Support Data Security governance topics like Crown Jewels, critical systems/assets protection, critical supplier interactions, and data system resilience.
- Engage proactively with Data Officers & Data Domains, providing guidance and mentoring.
- Promote innovation and knowledge exchange on data security best practices, including education and awareness initiatives.
- Utilize data and learnings from past incidents to enhance auto-discovery capabilities.
- Manage data/security incidents to ensure cohesive responses.
- Provide dashboards to management for visibility of data risks.
- Manage ISO 27701 (ISO27001 extension) compliance efforts.
- Design security initiatives to future-proof data supply chain security based on incident analysis and red team exercises.
- Collaborate internally and externally to achieve team objectives.
- Develop and deliver security training, education, and awareness initiatives.
- Ensure continuous compliance of Business Data Offices with Schneider Electric security, legal, and data privacy policies.
Qualifications
- Experience in security or enterprise architecture, with understanding of Cloud and Data Management.
- Experience with data security tools (DLP, DSPM), access rights management, and IAM.
- Risk assessment, management skills, and audit capabilities, including certifications, evidence of security practices, and incident reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate with both technical teams and business owners.
- Proficiency with Azure, AWS (Lambda, Glue, CloudFormation, API Gateway), SQL (RedShift preferred), and data pipelines.
- Excellent soft skills: customer-focused, innovative, creative, pragmatic, strong communicator, team-oriented, adaptable, empathetic, and strategic thinker.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in cybersecurity governance, operations, or architecture.
- Knowledge of Big Data/BI/Analytics security, GDPR, CCPA, and cloud security controls.
