Job summary

King’s College School Murcia is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring Year 5 Teacher to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover basis from early 2026.

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, monitor pupil progress and support academic, social and emotional development while upholding safeguarding and school values within our vibrant international community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a Primary school, ideally with Year 5 or a similar age group.
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for every child.
• Strong knowledge of effective primary teaching and learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel valued, confident and motivated to learn.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Primary School to ensure consistency and continuity in teaching.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to school events, activities and the wider life of the school.
• Promote the school’s values and contribute positively to its vibrant international community.
• Ensure that safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
