Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets, support commissioning and service, and lead remote diagnostics to ensure turbines perform reliably.

Role requires engineering degree, wind energy experience, fluency in English, and willingness to relocate to Barcelona. Travel up to 20% and rotating shifts with on-call weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
