Speakers
Mr. Helvey is a self-proclaimed global citizen with over twenty years in the protocol profession. He has held positions ranging from entry-level to leader across multiple countries, engaging with officials up to head of state levels in more than 100 countries. He has a background in business and studies in protocol, project management, continuous improvement, and innovation. His company, Global Center for Protocol Development, reflects his and his co-founder’s experiences in developing professionals into high-performing leaders.
Ms. Navarro is a native of Cádiz, Spain, with over 20 years of international experience in protocol and international relations working with the U.S. Government. She has taught protocol courses at a distinguished business school in Madrid, served on the Board of Directors for an African NGO, translated psychology textbooks, and pursued certification as a Gestalt therapist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation and multiple master’s degrees in related fields, including protocol & international relations; communication & political marketing; and conflict resolution. She is also a graduate of the Yale University Women’s Leadership Program and serves as Co-Founder and Director of Communication and Public Relations for BE Spain Savvy.
Educational Webinars
Education of protocol professionals is a core part of PDI-POA’s mission. Webinars include educational presentations by featured speakers and a forum for viewers to ask questions of experts. Audio and video interaction for attendees is disabled to promote the instructional environment, with interaction occurring through the chat and Q&A features of the Zoom Webinar platform.
Webinars are open at no additional charge to PDI-POA members. Non-members may attend with a registration fee of $50 per person.
Each webinar session will be recorded and made available to PDI-POA members through the members-only Video Library. For non-member registrants, the recording will be available for 30 days after the session via a password-protected link shared after the webinar.
