The360° Protocol Professional

Join us for this special professional development session, presented by Global Center for Protocol Development. This session will focus on :

• Identifying the three capability zones (technical expertise, supporting / soft-skill depth, and strategic leadership) that define a future-ready protocol professional.
• Illustrating how broadened traits (decision-making, program management, teamwork, data fluency, etc.) accelerate promotion inside protocol offices and raise marketability outside the field.
• Guiding attendees through a self-development challenge to pick one technical, one leadership, and one supporting skill to pursue in the next six months.
• Outlining steps for leveraging protocol experience into adjacent careers (events, corporate relations, customer experience, international business, etc.).

Participants may submit questions in advance while registering to be sure they are addressed.

Speakers

Mr. Helvey is a self-proclaimed global citizen with over twenty years in the protocol profession. He has held positions ranging from entry-level to leader across multiple countries, engaging with officials up to head of state levels in more than 100 countries. He has a background in business and studies in protocol, project management, continuous improvement, and innovation. His company, Global Center for Protocol Development, reflects his and his co-founder’s experiences in developing professionals into high-performing leaders.

Ms. Navarro is a native of Cádiz, Spain, with over 20 years of international experience in protocol and international relations working with the U.S. Government. She has taught protocol courses at a distinguished business school in Madrid, served on the Board of Directors for an African NGO, translated psychology textbooks, and pursued certification as a Gestalt therapist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation and multiple master’s degrees in related fields, including protocol & international relations; communication & political marketing; and conflict resolution. She is also a graduate of the Yale University Women’s Leadership Program and serves as Co-Founder and Director of Communication and Public Relations for BE Spain Savvy.

Educational Webinars

Education of protocol professionals is a core part of PDI-POA’s mission. Webinars include educational presentations by featured speakers and a forum for viewers to ask questions of experts. Audio and video interaction for attendees is disabled to promote the instructional environment, with interaction occurring through the chat and Q&A features of the Zoom Webinar platform.

Webinars are open at no additional charge to PDI-POA members. Non-members may attend with a registration fee of $50 per person.

Each webinar session will be recorded and made available to PDI-POA members through the members-only Video Library. For non-member registrants, the recording will be available for 30 days after the session via a password-protected link shared after the webinar.
