Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Madrid to lead the development and technical assurance of mechanical design deliverables for UK water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate with other disciplines, manage delivery to budget and programme, and communicate with clients in technical meetings.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering degree, Chartered status or working towards Chartership, and strong BIM experience.

Qualifications

Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
Chartered or working towards Chartership.
Experience designing mechanical equipment for water and wastewater treatment.
Understanding of CDM responsibilities.
Proactive approach with the ability to adapt and prioritise.
Strong collaboration and communication skills in both oral presentations and written reports.
Experience leading mechanical scopes with programme, cost, and risk management.
Understanding of BIM design tools.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design deliverables and technical assurance.
Produce specifications, drawings and schedules with a mechanical focus.
Coordinate with other disciplines.
Manage project delivery to budget and programme, including monthly reporting.
Report writing and preparation of presentation materials.
Represent the company in technical meetings with clients.
Act as a technical reviewer and provide engineering judgement on complex solutions.
Mentor and support junior engineers.
