Blanc Restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is looking for a Waiter to join our dynamic team.

Our hotel offers 120 beautifully designed rooms, 28 of which are suites, all individually decorated by renowned designer Patricia Urquiola. We are also home to a Michelin-starred restaurant, a beautiful cocktail bar, an indoor garden called Mimosa, and a pool terrace with stunning views.

As part of the culinary team at Blanc, you will play a crucial role in delivering unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. The role reports to the Restaurant Manager and works in close collaboration with all restaurant team members to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained.

Main Responsibilities :

Daily Duties

• Ensure grooming standards are adhered to, reflecting a professional image for our guests.
• Communicate with kitchen and sommelier about specials.
• Take guest food and beverage requirements.
• Offer aperitifs and recommend food.
• Attend pre-service briefings for daily updates, ensuring tasks are followed up efficiently prior to guest’s arrival.
• Meet, greet, and seat guests in a professional and efficient manner.
• Clear and reset tables appropriately according to reservation plans.
• Coordinate the service of food and beverages with the Manager and Sommelier efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare and present bills accurately.
• Respond proactively to guest queries, ensuring appropriate action is taken in the absence of the manager / assistant, with effective communication.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues affecting service delivery.
• Bid farewell to guests, ensuring guest satisfaction is achieved.
• Perform all duties related to restaurant closing shifts.

Periodic Duties

• Manage weekly ordering of stationery and ensure accurate delivery.
• Carry out weekly polishing of silverware and maintenance.

• Previous experience as a waiter in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Attention to detail, positive attitude, and proactive work approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
