IDEX Consulting Ltd. is seeking a W&I Underwriter with a focus on Southern Europe. You will own the underwriting process from triage to policy issuance and work closely with brokers, legal counsel and deal teams to assess and price risk across a broad range of M&A transactions.

We have been retained by a corporate insurer with a well-established presence across the international transactional risk market is looking a W&I Underwriter to have a particular focus on Southern Europe. This is an opportunity to join a business with genuine global reach, working alongside a collegiate team of underwriters who collaborate closely across jurisdictions on complex, cross-border deals.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the underwriting process from initial triage through to policy issuance, working directly with brokers, legal counsel and deal teams to assess and price risk across a broad spread of M&A transactions.

Fluency in French or Italian is essential, given the volume of instructions originating from these territories and the need to liaise directly with local counsel and clients on deal specifics. Candidates must have W&I experienced from either underwriting or broking will be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy on live transactions.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a genuinely international book of business, with clear scope for progression both domestically and internationally as the team continues to grow.
