Santander in the United States seeks a Vice President of Underwriting & Portfolio Management to lead credit analysis, structuring, servicing, and documentation of new and renewal credits. You will guide risk assessment, prepare credit memos, and collaborate with bankers to optimize loan structures and pricing.

The role requires 7+ years in financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Formación

• 7+ Years Financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management. - Required.
• 7+ Years Experience underwriting corporate loan transactions - Required .
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and proficient with financial statements.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with little supervision.
• Ability to work well with others and on teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Skilled in proposing and negotiating and recommending credit and covenant structures.
• Comfortable in customer contact situations including escalations and potential work‑out/loan restructure environments.
• Ability to foster strong partnerships with the related documentation and underwriting units.
• Demonstrated knowledge in financial modeling and able to structure credit in modeling environment.
• Exhibits competency at independently reaching conclusions and forms clear view of credit structure and business risk to organization.
• Solid knowledge of loan and related legal documents.
• Strong communication skills, and ability to influence others by persuasively presenting thoughts and ideas to gain commitment and agreement for proposed ideas and solutions.
