About the Role

We’re now looking for a strategic and impact-oriented VP of Engineering to scale our technology and teams, drive technical strategy, and build products that redefine hospitality tech.

Over the past seven years, we've scaled rapidly—growing our customer base, integrations, and engineering team. However, our monolithic platform has also grown in complexity, and we need a structured approach to modernizing it to fully realize our vision of empowering independent hoteliers.

With our close to 40 developers, we are on a journey to transition to a more modular, API-first architecture—ensuring scalability, flexibility, and long-term innovation.

We need a VP of Engineering to lead and help with this transformation, streamline our technical strategy, and position Amenitiz for the next stage of growth.

What You’ll Own

1. Engineering Strategy & Leadership – Define and execute the engineering vision, aligning with business and product goals. Own technical OKRs and ensure teams are delivering high-impact initiatives.
2. Scalable Architecture & Technical Excellence – Oversee system reliability, security, and long-term scalability while managing technical debt effectively.
3. People & Team Development – Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team. Define career paths, structure teams for efficiency, and foster a strong engineering culture.
4. Process & Execution – Ensure best-in-class development practices (Developer Experience, Platform Teams, CI / CD, DevOps). Partner with Product to drive seamless execution and delivery.
5. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management – Align engineering with Product, Data, and Business teams, represent technology at the extended leadership level, and communicate technical vision.
6. Budget & Tooling Strategy – Oversee an OPEX budget of >2M and manage a stack of 50+ engineering tools, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost optimization.
