GoHub is seeking a hands-on, strategic VP of Engineering to lead our Madrid engineering organization. You will define the technical vision and ensure execution excellence of our Edge Management Platform.

This high-impact leadership role oversees architecture, quality, delivery, and platform evolution across cloud, edge, and embedded environments while remaining technically involved. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Formación

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams, including QA and quality ownership.
• Strong background in backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Solid experience with microservices architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, Node.js and TypeScript ecosystems.
• Messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or MQTT.
• Linux-based and edge/embedded environments.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to review code when needed.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; experience in startup or scale-up environments.
• Experience scaling SaaS platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate all technical teams: Frontend (Angular), Backend (Node.js/TypeScript), Agent (Golang), OS/Embedded (Linux/Yocto).
• Own technical execution across cloud, edge, and embedded environments.
• Build a culture of quality, accountability, and operational ownership.
• Own engineering delivery in partnership with Product.
• Act as Agile/Scrum leader; plan sprints and drive continuous improvement.
• Define and evolve testing strategies across unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Ensure high-quality releases across SaaS, microservices, agents, and OS components.
• Balance speed with robustness and maintainability; review designs and critical code paths.
• Lead and contribute to system and architecture design; enforce microservices best practices.
• Guide usage of Docker and Kubernetes for development, deployment, and operations.
• Review technical designs and testing approaches; write/modify code when needed.
