VM Migration Specialist – Trinetix is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to execute complex migrations, contributing to mission-critical infrastructure transitions. This is a high-impact opportunity to work within a large global organization, ensuring seamless and efficient outcomes.

Requirements

• Virtualization Platform Expertise – Good understanding of VMware vSphere environments; Experience with KVM-based virtualization platforms, preferably HPE VM Essentials (VME); Knowledge of hypervisor-level operations and management
• Operating System Knowledge – Good experience with Windows Server administration; Good experience with Linux Server administration; Understanding of disk partitioning, file systems, and boot loaders
• Migration Tools Proficiency – Experience with any previous VM Migration projects; Experience with virt-v2v or similar VM conversion tools; Familiarity with RiverMeadow migration platform is preferred
• Scripting and Automation – Proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting; Experience with Ansible for automation; Ability to develop custom automation scripts for migration workflows
• Networking – Understanding of network interfaces and configurations across platforms; Knowledge of firewall configurations and security groups; Experience with TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
• Storage – Knowledge of various storage systems and configurations; Experience with logical volume management (LVM); Understanding of disk formats (VMDK, qcow2) and conversion processes
• Soft Skills – Effective English communication for customer interactions; Strong documentation skills
