T-Systems Iberia is seeking a senior virtualization engineer to drive enterprise virtualization design and automation. You will design target architectures, define blueprints, and lead provisioning with IaC and pipelines in a global, collaborative environment.

You will evaluate alternative platforms (KVM, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix AHV), maintain ops docs, and act as technical reference in migrations and architecture decisions.

Formación

• Experience in enterprise virtualization with design and automation.
• Ability to design target architectures and reference blueprints.
• Proficient in automating provisioning and lifecycle with IaC and pipelines.
• Experience evaluating alternative virtualization platforms (KVM, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix AHV).
• Define standards and technical documentation for operations teams.
• Act as the technical reference in projects, migrations and architecture decisions.
• Familiar with VMware vSphere and software-defined environments (vSAN, NSX).
• Knowledge of FinOps / cost optimization.
• Professional level in Spanish and English.

• 5+ years in enterprise virtualization with real design and automation experience.
• Design target architectures and reference blueprints.
• Automate provisioning and lifecycle with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and pipelines.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of alternative virtualization platforms (KVM, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix AHV).
• Define standards and technical documentation for operations teams.
• Act as the technical reference in projects, migrations and architecture decisions.
• Automation/IaC: Ansible, Terraform, Python or PowerCLI + Git.
• Architecture-level knowledge of VMware vSphere and software-defined environments (vSAN, NSX).
• Experience with at least one alternative hypervisor (KVM, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix AHV).
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), CI/CD, observability, ITIL 4.
• VMware, Red Hat (OpenShift) or Nutanix certifications.
• FinOps / cost optimization knowledge.
• Spanish and English (professional level).
