Utopia is seeking a highly organized General Manager to oversee luxury private properties in Badalona, Spain. The role requires year-round high-standard maintenance, vendor coordination, and delivering a seamless guest experience on-site.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and multi-vendor contracts, collaborating with clients’ private offices and trusted providers to uphold impeccable standards, compliance, and presentation across all aspects of property operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in general management within luxury hospitality or private residences.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control capabilities.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-vendor contracts and seasonal workflows.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Discreet, guest-focused service mindset with high professional standards.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organized and service-minded General Manager to oversee the operation of luxury private properties in Badalona.

In this opportunity, you will be responsible for ensuring the residence is maintained to impeccable standards year-round, coordinating all vendors and seasonal staff, and delivering a seamless guest experience.

You will collaborate closely with the clients, their private office, and trusted service providers to manage budgets, oversee maintenance schedules, and guarantee that every detail — from security and compliance to hospitality and presentation — reflects the highest level of quality.

This is an on-site opportunity in Badalona — relocation is required if you're not already based there or nearby.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and service activities to ensure the property remains in pristine condition year-round.
• Build and manage seasonal operational plans for periods of guest use (summer season) and off-season care.
• Develop and control the annual budget, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses, vendor contracts, and service quality.
• Lead and supervise external vendors and seasonal staff (cleaning, gardening, pool, catering, security) to guarantee consistent high standards.
• Support guest stays by preparing the property before arrival, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and responding to any urgent needs.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations, permits, and safety requirements.
• Provide regular reporting to ownership and proactively suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and guest experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Estate Manager, or in a senior operations capacity within luxury hospitality, property, or private residences (7+ years).
• Strong technical understanding of property maintenance, vendor management, and facility operations.
• Excellent organizational and budgeting skills, with the ability to manage multi-vendor contracts and seasonal workflows.
• High service orientation with a discreet, professional, and guest-focused mindset.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish is mandatory for this role.
• Ability to operate independently, solve problems under pressure, and anticipate client and guest needs.
• Familiarity with local compliance requirements, safety regulations, and contractor oversight in Spain.
