Job Description:

A position for a Geospatial finance and project analyst is now open at Airbus Geotech.

About Airbus in Barcelona

The position is based at Airbus Barcelona facilities, located downtown. The team works closely with Airbus partner departments in France and Germany, focusing on creating and delivering innovative Geospatial features aligned with market and future needs.

Airbus GeoTech, located in Barcelona, is a subsidiary specializing in Space Digital within Airbus Defence and Space. The Barcelona office combines the heritage of a global aerospace leader with the agility of a startup, serving over 200 international customers. The team is dynamic, often traveling internationally.

You will join a passionate team of experts in systems engineering, mapping, AI, and data analysis, transforming satellite and drone imagery and operations. Be prepared to work in a rapidly evolving environment, contributing to new business initiatives.

Your Role

Airbus operates a leading satellite constellation, processing imagery with an in-house suite to produce various analytical products. Airbus develops satellite-based Geospatial solutions, including HAPS (High Altitude Platform Stations), which are solar-powered UAS providing persistent and high-resolution imagery and video.

As part of the Geospatial Solutions team, you will collaborate with the Airbus Geotech executive team and counterparts in Toulouse to:

1. Assess company finance & accounting procedures and tools
2. Develop improvement plans for these procedures and tools
3. Research and benchmark suitable finance & accounting tools
4. Define KPIs for financial analysis
5. Implement cost accounting analytics leveraging KPIs
6. Derive insights and financial measures
7. Ensure compliance with internal control measures
8. Identify KPIs for project risk management in geospatial projects
9. Support project management methodology development
10. Assist in customer bid cost analysis and pricing
11. Contribute to procurement strategies to optimize costs and profitability

The ideal candidate is curious, autonomous, and proactive, capable of managing finance, procurement, and project themes while communicating effectively in English and other languages like Catalan, Spanish, French, or German. They should be adaptable, rigorous, and a team player, comfortable in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, and willing to travel.

Minimum Requirements

• A finance or business degree
• At least 1 year of experience in small/medium companies
• Knowledge of image processing and Earth Observation is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Language skills in Catalan, Spanish, French, or German are advantageous
• Ability to handle unexpected situations and follow procedures
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to dynamic environments and multiple priorities
• International exposure and emotional intelligence
• Willingness to travel for several weeks
