Job Description

Where is the position?

The position is located in Puente la Reina, near Pamplona, Spain, within a multicultural team in a dynamic and challenging environment.

What missions will you lead?

As a Process Automation & IT Engineer in the methods and maintenance department, you will be part of the digitalization and smart factory team responsible for Schneider Electric's SMART program. Your main missions will include:

  1. Managing and coaching Smart tools/Apps implementation and ensuring their adoption in the plant.
  2. Spreading Smart Apps knowledge within the team to support Direct Labor Productivity.
  3. Adapting processes and manufacturing workstations for existing products by improving industrial performance in manual, automatic, and PLC processes.
  4. Deploying Schneider performance system principles and implementing Lean/6 Sigma tools.
  5. Participating in SIM2 of their sector(s) and addressing necessary actions to remove barriers quickly.
  6. Managing capacity vs. workload balance using dedicated tools like Q simulation and Capacity simulation for internal and external lines.
  7. Optimizing lead times and ensuring line capacity.
  8. Studying the feasibility and profitability of investments tailored to needs.
  9. Participating in the deployment of the Smart Factory program to reach an advanced level.
  10. Contributing to the paperless factory project.
  11. Enhancing visual management in the plant.
  12. Deploying AVEVA PI in the manufacturing lines.

What qualifications are we looking for?

Education: Master’s degree in Telecommunications or Engineering.

Work experience: Preferably 2+ years as an Industry 4.0 engineer or process engineer (including internships or apprenticeships).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially.
  • Programming skills and understanding of programming languages.
  • Knowledge of ICT, handling big data, IoT, and simulation.
  • Experience with Tableau/BI and data management for process improvement and decision-making.

Languages: Full professional capacity in English and Spanish.

Personal abilities:

  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving environments.
  • Motivating, influencing, enabling, and facilitating problem-solving.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
