ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our company, brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve customers, sharing product information to help them find items that meet their needs. Retail Associates support product flow into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure product representation and accessibility, contributing to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes. You will also assist the Store Leadership team in supporting our mission:

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards
• Restock merchandise from stock rooms and inventory locations to the sales floor
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) efficiently and accurately
• Connect consumers to our loyalty programs
• Assist customers by responding to questions about product features, benefits, and availability
• Ask questions to understand customer needs and assist with buying decisions
• Support Columbia Sportswear values to enhance the customer experience and collaborate with team members
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations effectively

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Up to 2 years of experience in retail or related roles
• Experience interacting with and serving customers
• Skill operating inventory and POS systems, and other retail software tools
• Must be 16 years of age or older

JOB CONDITIONS

• Frequent movement in active environments, including lifting up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, and exposure to dust and noise
• Ability to work in various locations and conditions
• Clear communication skills
• Availability to work flexible retail hours, which may vary seasonally and based on business needs
