Descripción del empleo

About Stark

Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road‑legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.

We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year‑on‑year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.

Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed.

Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.

The Role

The Vehicle Engineer is part of the Vehicle team, developing parts and components from initial idea all the way through to fully industrialised, mass‑production vehicles. This is a 360° role: you own a defined component, structure, or part constellation from project kickoff to start of production – not just the CAD work, but the coordination with simulation, design, validation, production, purchasing, supply chain, quality, and suppliers needed to get it into production.

You are the driver of development for your area – not overseeing these functions, but working alongside them: aligning input, resolving conflicting requirements, and keeping the work moving within the part’s requirements framework. You are the person who sculpts the vehicle into its final form from the requirements of all adjacent parties. You report directly to the Head of Vehicle Engineering and the Chief Engineer and work closely with the Lead Engineer and engineers from other departments.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the end‑to‑end development lifecycle of assigned components, parts, or part clusters – from initial idea and concept through design, validation, and into series production.
  • Develop parts and components that satisfy all functional, aesthetic, manufacturing, and commercial requirements, based on the product definition.
  • Drive development for your area of responsibility: proactively identify risks using structured methods such as DFMEA, resolve conflicts between requirements, and keep all stakeholders aligned.
  • Create and maintain high‑quality CAD models and technical drawings in accordance with GD&T standards, serving as the primary technical reference for your components.
  • Own and execute the technical release of all assigned parts and assemblies – including drawing approval, engineering change request management, and documentation in compliance with Stark Future’s engineering release process.
  • Work within Windchill as the primary PLM platform: manage part structures and BOMs, track revisions, and collaborate with other engineering functions throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Co‑develop components alongside simulation engineers to validate designs analytically before committing to hardware.
  • Own the design–engineering convergence for your components: align aesthetic intent with engineering feasibility, and drive clear, documented decisions when form and function requirements are in conflict.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in close cooperation with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams.
  • Manage supplier relationships within your scope – including technical alignment, drawing approval, and quality sign‑off through to full industrialisation.
  • Support prototype builds and field validation, incorporating learnings rapidly into design iterations.
  • Maintain clear and current documentation and status reporting across all development phases.
What you will bring to Stark
  • Master‑level proficiency in a professional CAD system; PTC Creo strongly preferred.
  • Solid command of GD&T and engineering drawing standards, with the ability to produce release‑ready technical documentation.
  • Experience working in a PLM environment; Windchill preferred.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methods such as DFMEA, and the ability to apply them proactively throughout the development cycle.
  • Solid understanding of a wide range of manufacturing technologies – including sheet metal, casting, machining, composites, plastics, and surface finishing.
  • At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in product development; experience in a design‑relevant discipline is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Vehicle Engineering, or a related field.
  • Pragmatic, structured work style with the ability to make decisions under ambiguity and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong communicator who works effectively with diverse stakeholders across engineering, design, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • A genuine appreciation for aesthetics and the principles of industrial design – you understand why form and function must coexist.
  • Fast learner with high standards: you raise the bar for yourself and those around you.
Why work with us

  • A creative, international team based in Barcelona
