Our client, a leading engineering consultancy dedicated to delivering cutting-edge virtual and physical vehicle development solutions, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Development Technician to support an exciting project. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment alongside a skilled team of technicians and engineers, ensuring that all attribute targets are met.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain test vehicles throughout the testing process.
• Conduct thorough fault-finding and problem-solving activities to identify, report, and resolve any issues.
• Provide on-track support, including at overseas test locations.
• Measure and document vehicle parts, maintaining detailed records for reference and analysis.
• Offer expert advice and recommendations for vehicle fixes and improvements to align with attribute requirements, ensuring their implementation is followed up.
• Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and uphold workplace standards to create a safe and productive environment.

Key Requirements :

• Engineering or Automotive Degree or Skilled Trades qualification in automotive.
• Extensive experience in whole vehicle testing within OEM, Tier-One suppliers, or testing facilities.
• Strong expertise in full vehicle testing, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of all attributes.
• In-depth knowledge of SW Diagnostic tools and skilled in troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in fabrication, problem-solving, and instrumentation techniques.
• Proven ability to build strong written and verbal relationships internally and with external customers.
• Capable of using problem-solving techniques under tight timing constraints.
• Proficient in IT tools, including Microsoft products, CAD software, and Atlassian products for documentation and analysis.
