Formación

• Fluent in Dutch and English with an insurance background.

The Continental Europe Underwriting Center in Madrid is an integral part of Chubb's EMEA business. Joining Chubb's multilingual and multiline business in Madrid allows you to support small and medium-sized clients (and the brokers serving them) in their own language.

The position reports directly to the Team Leader for Benelux.

Responsibilities

1. Provide excellent service to brokers and serve as a key contact for external and internal stakeholders, including the local country, for business processed in the underwriting center.
2. Underwrite, evaluate, and price risks in accordance with Chubb guidelines and underwriting authority.
3. Work closely with underwriting and sales teams based in Benelux to ensure portfolio sustainability, promote our offerings, and exploit cross-selling opportunities.
4. Review and adapt underwriting offers, leading contract negotiations with brokers.
5. Support brokers handling small and medium-sized enterprises by maintaining good commercial relationships, providing quality service, and meeting deadlines via phone and email.
6. Ensure effective management of policies throughout their lifecycle.
7. Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Claims, and Small and Middle Market Segments leaders.
8. Support all developments necessary to achieve our business strategies.

Qualifications

Requirements and Skills

1. Native or fluent in Dutch is required.
2. Business-level English is required.
3. An insurance background is essential.
4. Prior underwriting experience in Technology is preferred.
5. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word).
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
8. Strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and a willingness to deliver and improve the quality of our offerings.
