NTU International A/S is leading a consortium preparing a proposal for an EU-funded project in SEA Lot 6: Education Sector Public Expenditure Review (PER) in Greenland. They are seeking non-key experts to support the core team during project implementation.
Project Objective
The Education PER aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for:
- Better fiscal management
- Efficient and effective use of public expenditures to support Greenland’s education sector
- Improved service delivery
Position: Data Analyst / Statistician (Category II)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of budget execution, fiscal policies, and financial oversight mechanisms.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends in public spending and financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis and support cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness assessments.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across various sources.
- Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with finance, education, and policy experts to support integrated analytical outputs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data collection strategies.
- Prepare analytical reports, briefs, and data summaries for stakeholders and decision-makers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in English (C1); knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is an asset.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in public finance, economics, or development sectors.
- Advanced skills in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, STATA, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience handling large datasets and applying advanced statistical techniques.
- Knowledge of public sector data, fiscal indicators, or development finance is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data accessibly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with government, development agencies, or international institutions.
- Familiarity with open data standards, GIS, or machine learning tools.
- Publication or authorship of relevant analytical reports or dashboards.
