At L&H Solutions, we build and commercialize cloud-native (Azure-based) SaaS / PaaS solutions for Swiss Re Life & Health insurance clients. We offer a portfolio of over six products, including established offerings like Magnum with over 60 active clients worldwide, and innovative products such as UW Ease. We are a SW house within Swiss Re. Our team consists of more than 150 technical professionals with multidisciplinary skills, located in multiple countries, working on these multi-regional, highly available solutions.

About the Role

As a Front-End Architect / UI Architect, you will be responsible for defining and driving the architectural vision for our front-end applications. You will design scalable, modular, and high-performance UI systems that integrate seamlessly with diverse platforms such as Java and .NET. This role requires deep technical expertise in modern front-end technologies, cloud integration, SaaS application development, and micro front-end architecture.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX / UI designers, and backend engineers to ensure delivery of robust, maintainable, and future-ready front-end solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement scalable front-end architecture using Angular, React, and Web Components
2. Develop Micro Frontend solutions for modular, independently deployable UI components
3. Integrate front-end components with applications built on Java, .NET platforms, and cloud services (Azure)
4. Optimize performance through advanced techniques and third-party library customization
5. Enforce security best practices and accessibility standards (WCAG)
6. Establish coding standards and component libraries for consistency
7. Provide technical leadership to development teams and align architecture with business goals

About You

• Proven expertise in Micro Frontend architectures and Web Components development
• Experience building SaaS applications with multi-tenancy and API integration
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive interface design (flexbox, bootstrap, etc.)
• Ability to optimize front-end performance and security

Additional nice-to-haves include:

• Experience with component-based architecture and state management
• Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with front-end design patterns and accessibility standards
• Experience customizing visualization libraries (D3.Js, Chart.Js, etc.)

Salary and Benefits

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 (full-time role). The specific salary depends on your profile, including education, expertise, skills, and experience. In addition to the base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, along with various global and location-specific benefits.
