Formación

Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Liquid Fuels Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This role will involve performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on liquid fuel systems and associated equipment. The ideal candidate should be adept in technical problem-solving, committed to safety, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on liquid fuel systems, including storage tanks, pumps pipelines, and control systems.
  • Inspect and test liquid fuel systems to identify faults and implement repairs efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to liquid fuel storage, distribution, and handling.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, inspection records, and work reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve fuel system issues promptly.
  • Support emergency maintenance tasks and respond to fuel-related incidents as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for fuel system maintenance.
  • Keep up to date with industry standards, best practices, and advancements in liquid fuel technology.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have 4 years’ experience as a qualified liquid fuels systems maintenance technician.
  • Must have knowledge of HN requirements and NFPA standards to maintain fuel systems.
  • Understand the physiological effects, characteristics, and hazards of liquid fuel products.
  • Must have completed Liquid Fuels Maintenance Apprentice (J3ABR3E432–003) course or commercial equivalents.
  • Must have completed confined space training IAW AFOSHSTD 91–25 or commercial equivalent.
  • Must possess a current driver’s license.
  • Basic understanding of fuel system operations, mechanical systems, and relevant safety protocols.
  • Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized maintenance tools.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Liquid Fuels Storage Tank Entry Supervisor (J3AZR3E472–000) course also preferred.
  • Certification or technical training in liquid fuels maintenance or a related mechanical field.
  • Proven track record of performing maintenance and repair work on liquid fuel systems.
  • Familiarity with fuel control systems and automated fuel management software.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures for handling liquid fuels.
