Optima Health (OH&W) is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to support health screening across varied contracts, including construction and food industries. The role is peripatetic, with UK-wide travel and a driving licence as essential requirement. You will deliver high-quality screening services, contribute to client satisfaction, and collaborate with regional colleagues to ensure safe, effective occupational health support.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering health screening/medicals is preferable but not essential.
• Competent at managing client communication.
• Highly organised and process-driven individual.
• Ability to liaise with other departments and colleagues to achieve results.
• Results orientated and customer-focused.
• IT Literacy.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to collate, prepare and deliver wellbeing content.
• Good organisation skills, the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise.
• The ability and commitment to desire to be part of a team that seeks to provide the highest levels in a professional services business.
• Understanding of Confidentiality.
• Good report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health surveillance and fitness for work medicals in line with client standards.
• Drug and alcohol screening.
• Upload documentation to OHIO system.
• Store data in line with Data Protection Principles.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Meet KPI targets.
• Ensure consistent service delivery.
• Monitor OHIO compliance for data accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer experience.
• Ensure practices align with accreditations including ISO 9001, 27001, SEQOHS, RISQS, IIP.
• Calibrate and safety-test medical equipment.
• Support new team members.
• Handle escalations appropriately.
• Work with OH Team.
