Transport Planner Technician

Position Target:
Coordinate proper execution of day-to-day transportation activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinates day to day transportation activities
• Collaborate with 3rd Party Logistics Service Providers to organize truck loads, book time slots at the consolidation centers, and follow up on the delivery of the material.
• Support the team leader with daily reporting of transportation activities as well as with ad-hoc analysis when required.

What you need:

For the position of Transport Technician, Schindler seeks people with:

Expertise:

• Basic knowledge of Transportation practices including truck specifications, transportation standard operating procedures, incoterms, export documentation, transportation tariffs…
• Prior experience with SAP and with Transportation Management Systems preferred.
• Previous experience in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of transportation processes and their interfaces with other business functions: production, warehousing, procurement…
• Strong Microsoft Office skills MS Excel.
• English proficiency

Education:

• Desired certification or specialized training in Transportation or Logistics.
• Required completed degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent.
