Job summary

Commerzbank Madrid seeks a recent economics graduate for a Trainee role in Trade Finance Operations. You will gain hands-on exposure to processing export and import activities for Spanish corporates and learn the full product suite.

In collaboration with Transaction Banking Sales Specialists and Relationship Managers, you will ensure compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines, meet deadlines, and contribute to anti-money laundering controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or related field from a Spanish university
• Analytical and organizational skills with a deep understanding of banking
• Fluent in Spanish and English; German a plus

Responsibilities

• Get to know the details of the complete product suite of Trade Finance Operations
• Support the Trade Service Specialist in processing documentary and guarantee Trade Finance items
• Ensure compliance with process-relevant guidelines and regulatory requirements within deadlines
• Collaborate with Transaction Banking Sales Specialist and Relationship Manager to support corporate clients
• Check communications from clients/other banks for completeness and authenticity; scan documents and dispatch to counterparties
• Contribute to AML/CTF first line of defense and risk controls
