TPI Composites is the leading wind-blade manufacturer and the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint. We are looking for a motivated Customer Warranty Technical Leader to join our Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department. The position reports to the Problem-Solving Manager.

Key objectives

The new Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department oversees TPI Composite blade products' integrity at customer sites (wind farms) within the warranty period. As our Customer Warranty Technical Leader, you should be an excellent communicator and a recognized technical leader in composites engineering, manufacturing, and problem-solving, with direct knowledge of wind blade production processes such as infusion, composite repair, inspection, troubleshooting, failure analysis, root cause analysis, and design for manufacturability.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Lead multiple warranty technical projects across different products and customers.
  • Act as Technical Project Leader in warranty projects, forming and guiding a team of experts from various functions (Engineering, Quality, Factories, CWM Technical Support) through all project stages, including technical review gates. Escalate deviations and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal CWM processes and initiate continuous improvements.
  • Manage technical projects by planning tasks, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion. Escalate resource shortages and technical risks as needed.
  • Critically evaluate technical inputs and validate assumptions.
  • For complex projects, request support from a Special Warranty Project Manager for planning and resource coordination.
  • Provide regular updates to the customer’s project interface and support communication with the Customer Warranty Relations manager and the customer’s central organization.
  • Coordinate with Field Service Project Managers for wind farm field operations, ensuring clear work packages and monitoring progress.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MSc, MBA, or PhD preferred.
  • At least 10 years of industry experience, with 5+ years in wind blade composites.
  • Experience in project management; PMP certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred, with proven problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and excellent presentation abilities.
  • Strong quality focus and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with vendors, customers, and teams.
  • Ability to foster high-performance team environments.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
