We are seeking a skilled Trading Analyst responsible for securing the route-to-market in the markets where Greenvolt operates. The role involves developing and executing strategies to ensure the successful integration of renewable energy projects into these markets. Key responsibilities include navigating regulatory frameworks, building partnerships with stakeholders such as grid operators and market agents, and ensuring compliance with market participation requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy projects into electricity markets, optimizing operational efficiency and profitability.
- Analyze market structures, regulatory frameworks, and pricing mechanisms to identify the best market access options (e.g., PPAs, merchant models, energy auctions).
Contracting and Market Participation
- Secure participation of predefined volumes of renewable assets in the spot market (day-ahead, intraday, aFRR, mFRR, etc.).
- Negotiate and manage short-term contracts, derivatives, PPAs, and grid interconnection agreements, ensuring favorable terms.
- Facilitate project registration with transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution network operators (DNOs), and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure project compliance with market rules, including renewable energy certification, grid codes, and ancillary services participation.
Revenue Optimization
- Monitor and optimize revenue streams through participation in energy spot markets, capacity markets, and other mechanisms.
- Develop strategies to manage imbalance risks and maximize returns from renewable energy generation.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze energy market trends, pricing forecasts, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports on market performance, revenue, and compliance metrics for stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with project development, engineering, and trading teams to ensure seamless market integration.
- Provide input on project design and financial models aligned with market requirements and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or related certifications in energy trading.
- At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy, focusing on market access, regulatory compliance, or business development.
- Proven experience navigating complex regulatory environments and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proactive skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
