IMDEA Food is part of the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies Network, promoted by the Regional Government of Madrid, with the aim of conducting research that is both socially valuable and of international scientific excellence.
Within this framework, the “EIT Food Programme” is being developed. To ensure its proper implementation, the IMDEA Food Institute is seeking to hire a Senior Project Management Technician for innovation, training, and scientific dissemination projects.
The “EIT Food Programme” consists of a set of activities and projects among partners that form part of a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC).
To ensure the successful execution of the EIT Food Programme during the 2025 fiscal year—which includes the projects 21324-RIS Professional Development - “WeLead Food”, 21330-Food Solutions Challenges - “Functional Foods”, and 21300 - Food System Master of Science Program—and to fulfill IMDEA Food's commitments for the upcoming periods and calls, it is necessary to recruit a Senior Project Management Technician to support the scientific and technical activities associated with innovation projects, science-based entrepreneurship, and scientific dissemination.
Main responsibilities include:
- Specific training in communication, marketing and/or scientific culture.
- Accredited training in social media and digital marketing (SEO, SEM, web analytics, digital marketing tools, etc.).
- Accredited training in the use of graphic design and editing tools (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, etc.).
- Specific training in more advanced digital and innovation tools: data analytics, Big Data, machine learning, etc.
- Know-how in event organisation and/or protocol/public relations.
Professional experience & expertise to evaluate:
- Experience of a minimum of 7 years in the implementation and development of communication and marketing
strategies.
- At least 5 years’ experience in innovation and/or digital transformation projects.
- At least 5 years’ experience in event organisation, agenda setting, press releases and media relations.
- Experience in the field of national and European science and innovation systems.
- Professional experience in public institutions and/or PROs.
- Experience in scientific dissemination, mainly in the field of food, nutrition or health.
- Specific experience in EIT project management (especially EIT Food).
- Experience in the areas of Innovation, Education and/or Entrepreneurship.
Other merits to evaluate:
- Leadership, management and team building.
- Advanced level of knowledge and use of the Office package.
- Knowledge of administrative and management processes in the civil service and/or foundations.
- Knowledge of languages, preferably English.

Type of contract: Permanent employment contract for scientific-technical project activities (Article 23 bis of the Science Act), in accordance with current legislation, with a trial period as established by law.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, split schedule from Monday to Friday.
Gross Annual Salary: Highly competitive remuneration based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
Duration: Until the end of the project/funding.
Start date: Immediate.

Selection process
The selection of candidates will be carried out in accordance with the principles of equality, merit, capacity and publicity, as well as objectivity, independence and professional rigor, respecting the confidentiality of the participants' personal data, by means of a merit-based competition.
Once the deadline for the submission of applications has expired, and once the fulfilment of the requirements listed in the second base has been verified, the Selection Committee will proceed to assess the merits included in the curricula vitae related to the post and to select the candidates who best meet the established requirements, and will then open a second selection phase consisting of a personal interview.
The personal interview will consist of a face-to-face or videoconference interview which will focus solely on the merits put forward by the candidates in the competition phase and will be aimed at assessing the candidate's suitability for the post. The interview will last a maximum of 45 minutes
