Mar Recruitment & Consulting is seeking a Third Engineer / Fourth Engineer for a leading ship management company. The role covers technical, crew and operational management across a diverse fleet; you will ensure compliance with safety, environmental and CMS requirements.

The successful candidate will oversee engine room watchkeeping, assist with training, and participate in emergency response activities, reporting non-conformities and ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of machinery

Formación

• Engine Room Watchkeeper is required.
• Gas Engineer (in absence of a Gas Engineer if required).
• Role model for leadership and exemplary personal conduct.
• Behaviour Based Safety Observer.
• Testing and reporting of boiler and engine cooling water tests to Second Engineer.
• Report any non-conformities or defects.
• Form part of the emergency response team (specific duties as per ships emergency organisation).
• Follow the requirements of the Competency Management System (CMS).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Responsabilidades

• Compliance with safe working practices and safe operation of machinery.
• Maintenance and condition of machinery as delegated by Chief Engineer and/or Second Engineer.
• Compliance with Permits to Work.
• Operate, monitor and test oil pollution prevention equipment incl. OWS; maintain Oil Record Book Part 1 entries.
• Observe standing orders for sewage and incineration equipment; control portable pipes, hoses and pumps.
• Inspect, maintain and record repairs to assigned machinery.
• Operate safe Hot Work Procedures and report unsafe conditions.
