Job summary

maxon Barcelona is seeking a Test Engineer – Automation Focus to strengthen our software and hardware testing efforts. You will drive test automation, contribute to CI/CD integration, and ensure robust testing across systems and products in an international environment.

Applicants should have 4–5+ years in testing, strong Python programming skills, experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git, and ISTQB knowledge.

Qualifications

4–5+ years of experience in testing and test automation.
Strong programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with automation frameworks.
Familiar with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (Git).
Understanding of testing methodologies, test design, and defect management.
Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams (software, hardware, embedded).
Comfort working in an international setup, collaborating with global teams and external partners.
ISTQB knowledge or testing certifications.

Responsibilities

Drive and expand test automation across products and systems.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions and frameworks.
Plan and execute system, integration, and release testing (manual & automated).
Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure clear reporting and documentation.
Define test setups, tools, and equipment, coordinating required resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and continuously improve testing practices.
