Tenure-track Faculty Positions in Data Science

IE University’s School of Science and Technology (Sci-Tech) invites qualified applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Data Science beginning September 2023, in Madrid. We are currently offering 3 positions in this area, which will remain open until filled with suitable candidates.

Relevant, high-impact research and knowledge creation is a critical part of the mission of the school, and we are currently seeking to build a team of foundational research faculty as part of the next phase of our expansion.

We welcome applicants who focus on theoretical foundations of data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) as well as on knowledge transfer and applications to domain specific sectors, including (but not limited to) healthcare, energy / environment, finance, cybersecurity, marketing / retail, etc.

Requirements :

• PhD in statistics / mathematics / engineering or a related discipline from an internationally recognised institution.
• Excellence in research evidenced primarily by sustained contributions and publications in top-ranked and field relevant journals.
• Strong commitment to teaching in machine learning, data science or business analytics.
• Ability to participate in applied research in interdisciplinary teams at the interface between technical, business, and application-oriented domains.
