A leading company in the audiovisual industry seeks a Head of Finance for its operations in Spain and Portugal. In this role, you will lead financial and administrative activities, partner with leadership on strategy, and mentor a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate has over 6-8 years of experience, a strong finance background, and is fluent in English. This position is based in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Spain.

Formación

• Over 6-8 years of experience leading a local finance function, preferably in media, telecom, or streaming.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

AMC Networks International Southern Europe (AMCNISE) is a leading company in the audiovisual industry in Spain and Portugal. It produces and distributes 30 television channels and streaming services for diverse audiences.

AMCNISE is part of AMC Networks International, the global division of AMC Networks, known for franchises such as The Walking Dead Universe and Anne Rice's Immortal Universe.

In Spain, it manages 14 channels across film, series, factual, documentary, and lifestyle segments, along with five streaming services. In Portugal, the company operates five channels, the AMC SELEKT streaming service, and produces six additional channels and a streaming platform through DREAMIA, a joint venture with NOS.

HEAD OF FINANCE

This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the financial and administrative activities of the Business Unit (BU), ensuring alignment with company policies, and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple geographies and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Finance Leadership: Partner with regional leadership to shape strategy and provide data-driven insights for market growth in Spain and Portugal.
• Finance Transformation: Lead the transition to a shared service model for accounting, AP/AR processes, ensuring smooth migration and operational continuity.
• Technical Expertise: Possess deep knowledge in accounting, tax, compliance, internal audit, transfer pricing, and FP&A, with familiarity with local statutory and SOX requirements.
• Team Building: Develop and mentor a high-performing analytics team to deliver actionable insights and financial models.
• Operational Excellence: Drive cost efficiency and Capex management through planning and variance analysis.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with global and regional teams, auditors, banks, and authorities to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Leadership: Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the regional finance team.

Qualifications:

• Finance Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance.
• Degree/Master's in Finance or Business.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Spanish finance/accounting qualifications.
• Over 6-8 years of experience leading a local finance function, preferably within the media, telecom, or streaming sectors.
