Template Reviewer (SPAIN) – Freelance

About the role

Are you a Spanish (Spain) native speaker with bilingual proficiency in English? Do you have a deep understanding of your local culture, design trends, and an eye for detail when it comes to reviewing creative work?

We’re looking for an experienced artworker or graphic designer to review Canva’s localized templates across various categories, including presentations, social media graphics, invitations, videos, logos, and more. Your role will be to ensure that these templates align with the master English version in terms of language accuracy, design relevance, and cultural appropriateness—ultimately enhancing the quality of Canva’s template library.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a passion for high design standards, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining quality control.

What you’ll be doing :

• Reviewing and assessing templates created by Canva’s in-house and external designers based on Canva’s guidelines.
• Ensuring consistency and high standards in decision-making in collaboration with Leads.
• Identifying trends and areas for improvement within the template library.
• Applying linguistic and cultural insights to improve localized templates.
• Working directly within Canva’s platform to review, refine, and update templates for publishing.

• Experience in quality assurance, graphic design, or content review.
• A strong understanding of design principles and what makes content engaging.
• An eye for contemporary design trends and usability best practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
• Someone who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work and takes pride in accuracy.
• Fluency in English and native proficiency in your target language.
• Deep cultural knowledge of your market, with the ability to assess language accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Experience in template creation, with a keen understanding of digital, print, and animated design.
• Strong ability to proofread, assess layout, and refine templates to meet Canva’s standards.
• Comfortable using Canva and other cloud-based design tools, as well as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Key responsibilities :

• Review and refine localized templates to ensure accuracy, relevance, and cultural alignment.
• Provide linguistic and cultural feedback to improve user experience.
• Ensure translated content maintains clarity, correctness, and consistency with Canva’s tone and style.
• Work autonomously while staying aligned with project guidelines and deadlines.

Technical skills :

• Advanced proficiency in Canva and familiarity with cloud-based design tools.
• Experience in template creation and working with AI-powered design solutions.

Education & experience :

• Degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
