A leading aerospace company is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join their AIT Competence Centre in Albacete. The role encompasses supporting RF activities for satellite systems and requires a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering along with relevant experience. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and excellent command of both technical and project documentation.

Formación

  • 1-3 years in a relevant position.

Responsabilidades

  • Support RF activities and AIT planning for satellite projects.

Descripción del empleo

The candidate would support DEIMOS in several projects reporting to the head of AIT Competence Centre and will work collaboratively with team members across all the company. The AIT Competence Centre is responsible for the overall AIT planning, execution and reporting for space systems, satellite platforms and ground segment, from initial concept definition through on-orbit operations. Currently, DEIMOS is working on several projects for ESA and the commercial market to provide cutting edge technologies for earth observation or communication satellites as well as scientific missions.

Main Duties :

The person in charge of this position would support DEIMOS on the current and upcoming projects regarding RF and AIT activities for space systems, ground system and satellite platforms. Specific areas of work include, but are not limited to, definition of RF plans, design, procedures and reports, support to requirement verification, support to on-orbit operations, various analysis and simulations, support to the AIT planning for other company areas and direct collaboration with the Project Office (PMO).

Education :

Mandatory MSc in Telecommunications engineering in position to be registered in the COIT

Professional Experience :

1-3 years in a relevant position

Technical Requirements :

The candidate should have some, but not all, of the skills below :

  • Definition and dimensioning for new satellite and ground station applications focus on technology SDR (Software Defined Radio).
  • Knowledge of communications systems concepts (modulation schemes, coding, RF propagation, diversity techniques, multiplexing, filtering, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of the contractual documentation related with milestones agreed.
  • Plan, perform, and review the RF tests measurement techniques (signal generator, signal analyser, oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, etc.) related space sector.
  • Excellent RF, Antenna, and links budgets comprehension.
  • Experience in functional, EMC, TVAC and mechanical testing. (at least two)
  • Knowledge of the systems and subsystems encompassing a spacecraft.
  • Hands on approach on cross-functional technical issues.
  • Knowledge of low-level integration and testing techniques.
  • Experience in space HW handling and clean room activities.
  • Experience in writing relevant technical and project implementation documentation.
  • Experience in LEOP and commissioning flight operations.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C / C++, Java, Matlab, related to RF systems with an approach proactive and autonomous.
  • Technical writing with ECSS and CCSDS standards or other space related standards.

English (B2 level as minimum)
