Qualifications

• Título universitario en Salud Ocupacional y Seguridad o campo relacionado.
• Máster en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales o cualificación equivalente en España.
• Mínimo 5 años de experiencia en PRL en construcción.
• Conocimientos de la legislación española de seguridad y salud en la construcción.
• Experiencia en diseño y entrega de programas de formación en seguridad.
• Habilidades analíticas, de resolución de problemas y reporte.
• Habilidades de comunicación e interlocución con las partes interesadas.
• Competencia en software de gestión de seguridad y herramientas de oficina.

Responsibilities

• Desarrollar e implementar sistemas y políticas de seguridad en la construcción a nivel nacional.
• Realizar evaluaciones de riesgos e inspecciones de sitio (remotamente cuando sea posible).
• Investigar accidentes e incidentes y aplicar acciones correctivas.
• Ofrecer asesoramiento y formación a gerentes y trabajadores sobre normativas de seguridad.
• Garantizar el cumplimiento de la legislación de salud y seguridad.
• Mantener documentación de salud y seguridad: informes, registros y planes de emergencia.
• Colaborar con equipos de proyecto para integrar la seguridad en planificación y ejecución.
• Mantenerse actualizado sobre cambios legislativos y tecnológicos en PRL.
• Fomentar una cultura de seguridad proactiva.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety management systems and policies for construction sites nationwide, with a focus on Vigo.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and site inspections (remotely where possible, or coordinating on-site personnel) to identify potential hazards and recommend control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert advice and training to site managers, supervisors, and workers on all aspects of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and regional health and safety legislation and standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate health and safety documentation, including reports, records, and emergency plans.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into the planning and execution phases of construction projects.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in occupational health and safety legislation and technology.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging proactive safety behaviors.

Requirements

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent official qualification in Spain).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation and its application in construction.
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
