Job summary

Omexom Spain busca un Especialista en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (PRL) para unirse a un equipo remoto, con enfoque en proyectos en Vigo, Galicia, y apoyo a obras en toda España.

Desarrollarás, implementarás y monitorizarás políticas y procedimientos de seguridad, realizarás evaluaciones de riesgo e impartirás formación a equipos y gestión, asegurando cumplimiento normativo y altos estándares de seguridad.

Qualifications

• Título universitario en Salud Ocupacional y Seguridad
• Máster en PRL (o equivalente oficial en España)
• Mínimo 5 años de experiencia en PRL en construcción
• Conocimiento de la legislación española de PRL aplicable a la construcción
• Experiencia en formación de seguridad
• Habilidades analíticas y de reporte
• Comunicación y capacidad para influir a todos los niveles
• Competencia en software de PRL y herramientas de oficina

Responsibilities

• Desarrollar e implementar sistemas de seguridad y salud para obras a nivel nacional, con foco en Vigo.
• Realizar evaluaciones de riesgos y inspecciones, remotas o coordinando personal in situ.
• Investigar accidentes e incidentes, determinar causas y aplicar acciones correctivas.
• Ofrecer asesoría y formación a gerentes, supervisores y trabajadores en normativa de seguridad.
• Asegurar el cumplimiento de la legislación de PRL a nivel nacional y regional.
• Preparar y mantener documentación de seguridad, informes y planes de emergencia.
• Colaborar con equipos de proyecto para integrar criterios de seguridad desde la planificación.
• Mantenerse actualizado sobre cambios en legislación y tecnología de seguridad ocupacional.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety management systems and policies for construction sites nationwide, with a focus on Vigo .
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and site inspections (remotely where possible, or coordinating on-site personnel) to identify potential hazards and recommend control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert advice and training to site managers, supervisors, and workers on all aspects of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and regional health and safety legislation and standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate health and safety documentation, including reports, records, and emergency plans.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into the planning and execution phases of construction projects.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in occupational health and safety legislation and technology.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging proactive safety behaviors.

Requirements

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent official qualification in Spain).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation and its application in construction.
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
