The accounting manager position for Spain is responsible for all accounting operations of the Group in Spain as well as taxation and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including month end and year end process, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, treasury and cash management.
2. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements.
3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Review fiscal files and records to document transactions.
6. Liaise with different departments to ensure proper approval for invoices.
7. Responsible for all intercompany reconciliations.
8. Managing a team of 3 accountants covering different entities.

Knowledge & Skills

1. Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
2. Accounting, finance and tax knowledge.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and Spanish accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
4. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to direct and supervise.
7. Ability to work independently and as a team member with good interpersonal skills.

Education

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance required.

Experience

1. 2-3 years of experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
2. Good knowledge of Excel and experience with any ERP (Oracle-Netsuite, etc).
