Context And Mission

Reporting to BSC’s Technology Transfer Manager, the TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER junior officer on IPR will support activities mainly focused on keeping BSC’s IPR portfolio registers and BSC spin-off portfolio updated. In addition to IPR management tasks, identifying, registering, protecting and facilitating the exploitation of BSC’s research results.

Key Duties

• Intellectual Property Rights management for AINA project
• Define the IPR strategy for AINA project results
• Register of AINA project results
• Maintain updated AINA portfolio of technologies
• Provide help on protecting BSC research project results in the most appropriate way
  a.Provide help on Identifying BSC research results
  b.Provide help on registering BSC research results via Intellectual Property Disclosure Form
  c.Provide help on protecting BSC research results in the most appropriate way
• Provide help on maintaining updated BSC portfolio of technologies

Requirements

• Education
  • Business or Law degree preferred (applicants with a science or engineering degree will also be considered)
• Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
  • Knowledge on innovation, IPR management or similar a plus
• Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
  • Work experience is not essential but candidates who have knowledge on the following areas, will be at an advantage:
    
    ●Computer and Computational Sciences
    ●Start-ups creation
    
  • Fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan essential
• Competences
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Conditions

• The position will be located at BSC within the Director's Department

• Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
