Technical Writer - Cross Product Solutions

As a Technical Writer on the Mars Petcare GDP team, you will play a vital role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation to support the development, implementation, and optimization of cross-product solutions. Your ability to distill complex technical concepts into user-friendly content will ensure alignment across global teams and enhance the adoption of our digital platforms.

This role requires excellent writing skills, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach to collaborating with diverse teams.

What are we looking for?

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in technology, digital platforms, or MarTech ecosystems.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and structured documentation.
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, or other documentation platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working in global teams and supporting cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices and tools.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and modern software development workflows.
• Passion for pets and their well-being.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Documentation Development :

Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, system workflows, and product manuals.

• Ensure all documentation is clear, consistent, and accessible to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to gather detailed technical information and translate it into structured content.

• Act as the bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment in communication and understanding.
• Process & Standards :

Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all materials.

• Continuously improve documentation processes by identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Content Organization :

Manage the organization and accessibility of technical content in centralized repositories (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).

• Ensure documents are updated regularly to reflect the latest changes in systems, processes, and platforms.
• Knowledge Sharing :

Facilitate knowledge sharing by developing internal training materials, FAQs, and onboarding guides for cross-product solutions.

• Support team members in understanding complex technical workflows through clear and structured documentation.
