Position Summary

We are looking for a Technical Visual Designer to join our team in Madrid. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming complex aviation and drone-related technical text into clear, effective visual illustrations. Working closely with product teams, and content creators, you’ll design systems, data flows, schematics, and instructional visuals to support documentation, training, and communication within the advanced aviation and drone space.

Core Responsibilities

• Create clear, precise diagrams and illustrations related to aviation and drone systems.
• Design schematics, component breakdowns, operational flowcharts, and instructional graphics.
• Translate complex technical concepts into understandable visual formats.
• Work from specifications, research papers, and technical documentation to extract visual elements.
• Collaborate with technical writers, and product teams to ensure visual accuracy.
• Participate in content reviews and incorporate feedback from subject matter experts.
• Maintain visual and stylistic consistency across all technical materials.
• Align all visuals with brand guidelines and documentation standards.
• Contribute visuals to technical manuals, user guides, and training materials.
• Assist in designing visual aids for workshops, presentations, and e-learning modules.
• Develop and maintain a well-organized library of icons, templates, and reusable assets.
• Ensure design files are systematically stored and easy to access or update.

Skills & Qualifications

• A degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience designing visuals for technical or engineering-focused content.
• Proficiency in visual design tools (e.G., Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Lucidchart, or similar).
• Strong understanding of system design, aerospace, or mechanical concepts.
• Ability to simplify and visually represent abstract or complex technical ideas.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional team.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Background in design, and communications, fields.
• Familiarity with technical documentation processes and structured content environments.
• Experience working with design systems or building scalable visual libraries.
• Understanding of user experience principles and instructional design.
