Descripción del trabajo

We work to offer our clients throughout the world a wide range of products and services, generating solutions, and full technical support to respond to their most specific needs.

Since our founding in 1872 by Alfred Nobel, MAXAM has grown significantly.

We are now a global company specializing in energy materials.

We apply all our talent, energy, and knowledge to the mining and civil engineering sectors worldwide. While much has changed since Alfred Nobel started the business, some things remain constant: our dedication to our people and our pursuit of excellence.

If you are a Chemical Engineer with up to 3 years’ experience involved in R&D projects to innovate in explosive manufacturing products, collaborating in process design and optimization, and you are motivated by an international career, this opportunity is for you!

After a 2-3 week training, you will visit mines around the world (spending approximately 65% of your time traveling).

You will be responsible for applying chemical engineering principles to optimize and ensure the safety and efficiency of processes related to the manufacture and handling of explosive materials.

This includes conducting research and development activities under the supervision of the R&D Department, managing resources, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the company.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Improve processes for the safe manufacture and handling of explosives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct quality tests and audits.
  • Maintain documentation, assess risks, and prepare reports.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Department on new developments.
  • Adhere to safety regulations.

Requirements :

  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and requirements in a dynamic work environment.
  • Full availability to travel worldwide and stay at subsidiaries or operational sites (mine sites), with no initial geographical restrictions (approximately 60% abroad).
  • Quickly adapt to new processes, technologies, and work environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.

The aim of this development program is to prepare junior engineers to become future Project Engineers or Plant Managers, evolving internationally within the MAXAM Organization, integrating these professionals into MAXAM’s culture and transferring the company’s know-how.

Benefits include :

  • Being part of a great team.
  • Continuous, multidisciplinary learning opportunities.
