To expand our sales activities and technical support in Spain, we are looking in Barcelona for a:

Technical Support Engineer

Reporting to the Sales Office Supervisor and Brand Office Manager, the candidate should ideally be a Mechanical / Industrial Engineer with some experience in technical, administrative, supply chain and sales support of products in the transmission field from bearing, gearboxes, motors, machine components generally and, of course, linear motion systems. The candidate could also be involved in automation / special machine sales. Ideally, they should be working directly for the manufacturer; however, other engineering-based fields can be relevant. They will receive continuous training and support from Head Quarter’s Technical, Administrative, Supply Chain and Sales Departments.

Areas of responsibility

1. Prepare quotations for calculated systems and special parts in support of the external Sales Engineers.
2. Qualify special requests with the UK Technical Sales Team.
3. Receipt and load orders, review terms and manage shipping schedule.
4. Coordinate all relevant issues on technical complaints.
5. Accompany the engineers in customer visits, after sales support, trade exhibitions or other marketing events when needed.
6. Support the Branch Office with all administrative duties when needed.
7. Record and maintain customer information and data on the CRM system.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical education.
2. Some first relevant experience in technical support or design of technical solutions.
3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
4. High degree of computer literacy.
5. Able to communicate in English, written and spoken.
