Technical Services & Training Manager – Special Hazards EMEA

What you will do

Manage the EMEA-wide Special Hazards Technical Services team, providing product training, technical support, field services, and audits to customers and the Fire Suppression Products (FSP) business.

Lead a multi-skilled team to develop training materials, prioritize field service and audit activities aligned with Sales, and deliver exceptional technical support to FSP’s customers. Collaborate with the wider Technical teams and key business functions to ensure effective communication, deploy metrics to monitor activity, and demonstrate value addition. Work with the Director to develop a future strategy for FSP Technical Services in EMEA.

One team offering and developing :

  • Support proper installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and QA of products and systems in the field.
  • Provide user support and training for technical design software, evolving globally with regional functionalities.
  • Offer professional sales and technical support on design, installation, and maintenance of products and systems.
  • Conduct online and live training sessions for internal and external audiences on application, design, installation, and standards, enhancing revenue and customer loyalty.
  • Deliver design services including basic designs and calculations per industry standards.

How you will do it

  • Translate organizational goals into actionable tasks for team members.
  • Create individual development plans and oversee recruitment and development.
  • Coordinate daily departmental activities and manage expenses.
  • Monitor and enhance technical support levels and technical knowledge across the organization.
  • Track product pull-through resulting from technical services.
  • Manage training activities, capacity planning, and trainer development.
  • Ensure availability of training staff, materials, and samples across locations.
  • Develop training content for live sessions, e-learning, and webinars to meet market needs.
  • Monitor training revenue and ensure proper pricing and handling via ERP systems.
  • Develop processes, tools, and standards for design and field services.
  • Drive revenue from design and field services, managing initial designs and cost calculations.
  • Improve tools, processes, and standards related to design and services.
  • Manage CAD libraries, revision control, and develop sales support tools.
  • Lead large projects, coordinate activities, and report on progress.
  • Enhance software tools and services to increase sales and usage.
