Job summary

Canadian Solar in Madrid or Munich is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the engineering team, providing in-house technical advice to Sales Managers and high-quality technical support to customers.

This role focuses on the technical aspects of solar modules, with no direct sales responsibilities, and requires a degree in electrical engineering, 5+ years of PV experience, and strong English; German is a plus. The position is onsite, 12-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s degree a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the photovoltaic or renewable energy industry.
• Proven experience with utility-scale supplier agreements.
• Experience working with technical advisors and certification bodies is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to technical customer inquiries on technical sales topics to ensure customer satisfaction; support Sales in Europe on all technical aspects.
• Assist Sales in negotiation and drafting of technical annexes of sales contracts.
• Support sales activities by composing and designing technical marketing materials.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, Sales Managers and technical stakeholders.
• Provide periodic product training for customers and the Sales team.
• Collaborate with Europe and HQ teams to ensure smooth operation of Customer Service and Sales functions.
• Standardize processes and tools to ensure regulatory compliance.
