Técnicas Reunidas seeks an experienced Lead Safety Engineer to join its Engineering team in Cartagena, Spain. The role focuses on technical safety, environmental deliverables, and risk management across oil, gas, and power projects.

Responsibilities include leading HAZOP/HAZID, ALARP, and ERP workshops, conducting radiation and dispersion modeling, and ensuring high-quality safety deliverables with accurate budgeting and scheduling.

Formación

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical discipline or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classification, SCE/PS, EERA, FERA and other loss prevention analysis.
• Familiarity with NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, IP, ISO, ASME, API standards.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review deliverables related to Technical Safety/Environmental, HSE Management Plans, and related hazard studies.
• Lead HAZOP/HAZID/3D Model reviews and workshops.
• Perform radiation and dispersion modeling using suitable software and review results.
• Monitor manhour budgets and prepare weekly workplans.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and timely actions.
• Prepare specifications, RFI/RFP and TBE for technical safety items.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Safety Engineer to join our Engineering team in Cartagena.

Responsabilities:

• Preparation and review of deliverables related to Technical Safety/Environmental, as minimum but not limited to such as Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management Plans, HSE philosophies/Specifications, studies & reviews, HAZOP Management and review, SIL Determination, Hazardous Area Classification, Consequence analysis, BAT/ALARP studies, QRA, FESA, COMAH, Noise Specification, Noise Report Management, Emission Modelling Report, Flare Assessment (distances, emission and radiation), HSE Action Tracking Management, impact and emission calculations and safety equipment specification.
• Participate in numerous workshops as Technical Safety/Environmental Engineer to advise on technical safety related aspect and concern at HAZOP, HAZID, 3D Model Review, HFE Review, Construction HAZID, etc.
• Facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Determination, ALARP and ERP Workshop among others.
• Perform radiation and dispersion modeling using Flaresim software (or any similar software) and review simulations, analyses and utilize.
• Monitoring manhour budget and preparing weekly workplan and update project progress
• Ensure the schedule and deliverables meet with a high-quality deliverables and action.
• Prepare specifications, RFI/RFP and TBE for technical safety items.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical discipline or equivalent.
• Knowledge on the Hazardous area classification, SCE/PS, EERA, FERA and other loss prevention analysis and risk assessment.
• Knowledge in technical safety design standard such as NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, IP, ISO, ASME, API, etc.
• Experience in fire safety design in projects in the Oil & Gas and/or Power Plants sectors, onshore/offshore facility and brownfield project experience (Highly valued).
• Proved Skilled in Physical Effects Modeling and Quantitative Risk Assessment, experience with PHAST, FLARESIM, ALOHA, EFFECTS, EXsilentia software or similar.
